BaltEco Consulting Engineers is based in Baltinglass, County Wicklow from where all areas of Leinster and North Munster are covered. The business was established in October 2005, initially as Una Murphy Chartered Engineers, but was rebranded as BaltEco Consulting Engineer in mid-2007 to acknowledge our expansion and the increasing emphasis of the consultancy on Energy and Environmental issues.
We offer a wide range of Engineering, Energy, Planning and Architectural consultancy including Certifications by Chartered Engineer, Construction Supervision, Stage payments, Building Energy Ratings, Planning services (feasibility, percolation, application), Architectural design and graphics. We are registered with The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland as Building Energy Rating assessors. We offer tailored packages of Design, planning, construction supervision and certification as required.
Una Murphy, M.Sc., C.Eng., M.I.E.I.
Chartered Engineer
Una holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin since 1988 and a Masters in Renewable Energy and Energy Management since 2011. She has extensive Engineering and managerial experience in building services, sustainable energy use, planning and site analysis, tendering and construction in Ireland, the United States and China.
She achieved Chartered Engineer status from the Institute of Engineers of Ireland in 2003 following which she established her own consultancy business. Una has also completed the Site Assessors training and is an SEAI registered Building Energy Rating Assessor.
Dana Wilkins works in conjunction with BaltEco as a freelance planning and construction consultant. His approach to planning is result-oriented and his in-depth background research and comprehensive understanding of planning and building law ensures an excellent success rate. He specialises in innovative architectural design with particular emphasis on passive solar and contemporary design with an international flair.
Dana has wide-ranging experience in planning submissions, from individual one-off rural houses, small residential developments, agricultural building to commercial premises.
